“I’m excited to be part of USA Football’s board of directors,” Mitchell said. “I played this game for more than half of my life. I know how it opens doors for young people – it engenders friendships and opportunities. Football’s values and lessons are just as much a part of this sport as blocking and tackling. I’m proud to give of myself for football’s betterment and for the kids who love to play it.”
“We’re proud to have Brian join our board of directors,” said USA Football Executive Director SCOTT HALLENBECK. “As a player, he contributed to his teams in so many ways. He was a returner, a ball carrier, a receiver out of the backfield and even a passer on occasion. Just as he played, Brian’s knowledge and love of the sport will make him a multi-faceted contributor to USA Football.”
