FRIDAY FOOTBALL POSTPONEMENTS, 10/26/07

By Scott Stump – Senior Editor

It’s deja vu all over again, as just like last week, the rain is wreaking havoc with the Shore Conference football schedule.
These are the changes so far:
Rumson-FH at Pt. Beach – Sunday at noon
Shore at Keyport – Sunday at noon.
Msgr. Donovan at Keansburg – Sunday at 1 p.m.
St. John Vianney at Mater Dei – Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
Monmouth at Jackson Liberty – Sunday at 3 p.m.
Holmdel at Point Boro – Sunday at 4 p.m.
Brick Mem. at Jackson – Sunday at 6 p.m.
Wall at Red Bank Catholic – Sunday at 7 p.m.

The DigitalSports Game of the Week, Holmdel at Point Boro, has been moved to Sunday at 4 p.m. The match-up of unbeatens will determine the National Division title and has huge state playoff seeding implications for both teams.
Also, another huge game set for Friday night, Wall at Red Bank Catholic in a Liberty Division showdown, has been moved to Sunday at 7 p.m. at Count Basie Field. Brick Memorial at Jackson is now Sunday at 6 p.m., and Monmouth at Jackson Liberty is Sunday at 3 p.m.
Rumson-Fair Haven’s game at Point Beach, in which the Bulldogs can
clinch their share of their second straight Patriot Division title, is
now at noon on Sunday at Point Beach.
As of 2:30 p.m., another important game with state playoff implications, Middletown South at Ocean, is scheduled to be played.
Toms River South’s game at Brick in the Constitution Division is still on as of 2:15 p.m. The unveiling of Middletown North’s artificial turf field in a nondivisional game against Southern is still on for 7 p.m. on Friday night, according to Lions coach Joe Trezza. As of 2:45 p.m., Manchester’s home game against Long Branch on Friday night is also still scheduled to be played.
    Check back for more updates.
